Daniel Nicholas lives in New York City. He's been a full-time magician and mentalist since 2017, and the Hudson Valley is where he got his start. Before going full-time, he earned an MS in Healthcare Systems Engineering from Binghamton University. These days he splits his time between local events and Fortune 500 stages in Manhattan.
He's performed at Mohonk Mountain House, The Grandview in Poughkeepsie, Buttermilk Falls Inn, and dozens of private homes from New Paltz to Rhinebeck. When you hire Daniel, you're not getting someone driving up from the city. You're getting the local guy who happens to also perform for Google, Goldman Sachs, and the New York Mets.
Most people have never seen a mentalist in person. They've seen card tricks at a cousin's birthday. Maybe a magician at a company holiday party. Mentalism is different. It's psychology, body language, and predictions that feel genuinely impossible.
Daniel reads thoughts, predicts decisions, and reveals details he shouldn't know. He does it three feet away, looking you in the eye. That's why people remember it months later.
Daniel moves through your cocktail hour or reception and performs right in guests' hands. Cards, coins, mind reading. It's intimate, personal, and it gets people talking to each other instead of checking their phones.
For weddings at places like The Roundhouse in Beacon or Locust Grove Estate in Poughkeepsie, this is the format couples book most. It fills the gaps between ceremony and dinner perfectly.
When you need a program, Daniel builds one around your event. Audience volunteers, custom material, mentalism that leaves people genuinely speechless. He's done this for groups of 20 at a Rhinebeck dinner party and for crowds of over 5,000 at major corporate events.
Private parties, milestone celebrations, and events where the entertainment needs to match the occasion.
Right in their hands. No stage, no distance , the most intimate format, perfect for cocktail hours and VIP receptions.
A full one-man production for any room size. From 50 to 5,000 , every show is built for the moment.
Custom-built for your brand and guests. Daniel reads the room, works the crowd, and leaves people talking long after.
90+ five-star reviews. Thousands of shows. Watch for yourself.

Corporate retreat entertainment is a specific challenge. People are away from the office, in a relaxed environment, and the entertainment needs to match that energy while still creating a genuine shared moment. Mentalism is ideal for this context because it invites participation rather than demanding attention. It's something people experience together, which is exactly what a retreat is supposed to accomplish.
Daniel performs at executive retreats and corporate off-sites throughout the Hudson Valley regularly. He's comfortable at inn-based events, vineyard dinners, river estate gatherings, and lodge settings across the region.
